First Place

Summer Co-ed Kickball at Ballard Boys & Girls Club Sundays

Kicks McGee's day started off great. They went up against the dynamic 5th Grade Sports Legends. It was a tight grudge match between the two teams. Both played extremely well defensively. Karl "HOTT" Ericksen had an amazing play at home that pushed McGee through to the Championship round. He had HOTT hands and ball control, for the last out at in the 7th, he bounced the ball while flying through the air.... and it HITS the runner!!!! Wicked play by Karl.

Kicks then faced up against Ocean's 10, who managed to take away the hope of a championship from the Kickapoos. Another great game was played with a decisive victory. Great kickball was played!!!

Sunday, August 23

POTW: Gavin Campbell

Kicks McGee

The POTW can go to no one other than Gavin. Although he was missing his Superman Cape, that didn't stop him from trying to fly to 3rd base. Gavin started his run after the ball was belted deep. Chaos ensues as the ball is dropped in the outfield and relayed infield. With the ball no where near him, and I really mean, NO WHERE near him, Gavin proceeds to fly head first into 3rd base. Everyone is in awe. One because he did look kind of cool sailing through the air at about shoulder height, two because everyone knew the head first rule.... everyone that is BUT Gavin. He is out at 3rd but still a hero. Nicely done!!

Sunday, August 16

POTW: Tara Fredrickson

Kicks McGee

Tara had major game on Sunday. Typically in a pop fly situation there is that one guy who races over for the catch, even if there is a female right under it waiting for it. We've all seen it. However, Tara took one back for the ladies. She raced over for the catch, even though Kelly was right under the ball, SWOOSH!!! She took it right out of his arms!!! Great grab by Tara and way to take the pop fly away from a gentleman!!! NICE!!!
