Meagan was lightning in a bottle! She was a great bunter and no one could get her out at first once she took off! She played a mean third base as well. She had a couple of force outs at the bag and made a sensational catch! She led her team to victory with great kicks, runs scored and nice plays at third! Great Job!
Tien Truong was a one-man defense on Tuesday night. His defensive play at shortstop, despite a losing effort by Balls in Your Face, stood out significantly. In the seventh inning, Tien made a Play-of-the-Year nominee. With runners on first and second, the ball was kicked sharply to Tien at shortstop. Instead of fielding the ball like a mere mortal, Tien kicked a quick combination between his left foot and right foot, firing the ball at a backwards angle to the unsuspecting third baseman for a force out. It is yet to be proven if his actions were intentional, but one thing is certain: Troung's defense, combined with his spiked-hair-in-a-bandana attitude, made Balls in Your Face proud on Tuesday.
