Winter Co-ed Flag Football at Nathan Hale HS Wednesdays

Wednesdays at Hale tended to be a little damp this season, but the weather couldn't put out the winning spirit of Handegg Catchers. Playing in a steady rain for their fist match of the night Handegg managed to march down the field to gain a late lead in what had been a back and forth match all game long, and then hold out defensively for the victory. In the Championship game both teams started slow, with the first score coming with 4min left in the first half. In the second half, the women on Handegg Catchers took over, catching everything thrown their way, scoring three more touchdowns and an extra point, opening up a two score lead late in the game and holding on to victory. Congratulations, Handegg Catchers, on a season well won.

Victoria= Victorious. When it comes to catching a hand-egg Victoria is the best, hauling in three touchdown catches and four extra point conversions on the night, Victoria was everywhere her team needed her to be. On gender downs, when there were only three targets to cover, she was still able to run the ball down field making defenders look like they were standing still.

I don't quite understand how the 158.3 "perfect" Quarterback rating is calculated, but I can guarantee Emily achieved that on Wednesday night, as she went 7-7 from the QB position, lighting up the defense all day. She wasn't no slouch as a receiver either, reeling in 2 TD grabs, including a diving catch in traffic.
