Winter Bocce Ball in South Lake Union Tuesdays

Son of A Bocce, one of the most talked about indoor bocce leagues in the Pacific North West. On Tuesday the 8th of March they did it again, bringing home their second championship title in a row.
This team started out as an indy team, and has gone through so much. Over the summer taking second in a very close game, they came into winter season with the mentality that there was no option except to win. They proved it last season taking home the gold, and their drive stuck with them through this season.
We have seen more from them then from any other team this season. Not only are two of them now engaged to get married, but they brought on new team mates who have only helped push the team even farther. They entered the championship match playing one of the only teams to ever caused them a loss this season. Then they dominated, in a match ending 7-1. This team truly deserves the gold. Everyone else better watch out because I don;t see their streak ending soon. Spring teams keep your eyes out for them!

Our team with the most spirit this year goes to Step off Biocce! They never once came to a spirit day without the entire team decked head to toe in gear. Toga Night, sunglasses night, and even a few nights they made up. They deserved the title of most spirited team!

Tuesday, March 1

A team, soon to be bonded in marriage

Nicholas and Nicole take the next step

Nicholas and Nicole, some of the strongest players on team Son of A Bocce are now engaged! They helped push their team to a second place title in our summer leagues. Then coming back in winter to take it all with a first place win. Finals are coming next week and these two and their team are sure to be fighting to hold their title.
This team and its players, brought together originally as an Indy team, have shown that friendship can be found through strangers and are some of the friendliest people on the court. Unless of course they are trash talking the opponents.
A shout out from the rest of the team to the two lover birds:
"From an Indy team, to your lives together ahead.... congratulations to both of you from the rest of your Bocces!! We wish you the best in the future."
( I think by the future they mean championships next week. Game on!)
