History

In 2021, a group of Seattle-based adventurers, united by their love for volleyball and quirky humor, formed "A Space Otterssey"; a collection of adult rec sports teams. The name is a witty homage to Stanley Kubrick's film "2001: A Space Odyssey" and David Bowie's iconic song "Space Oddity," mixed with a shared affection for the playful and intelligent otter. The team quickly became known for their spirited play and camaraderie on and off the court. Members, coming from various backgrounds, brought a mix of strategic thinking, athletic prowess, and community spirit to the game. Last season, the Otters conquered the final boss of Softcore Underdog Volleyball Immortality; winning the Softcore I playoffs! Will they be able to repeat this feat? Stay tuned!
