From strangers to champions
Indy team #S6 are you Cap Hill Softball Champions!

Sunday afternoon started off in a battle for the semi-finals between 2 teams, Pitch Please and Wicked Curveballs. A challenging and competitive back and forth game ended with a close play stealing the needed runs and gaining a win for the Wicked Curveballs. 15 minutes later the Curveballs were right back into it against the Indy team #S6. The Indy team started off strong immediately ending inning 2 in the lead 10-0. Wicked Curveballs tried their hardest to come bacj gaining 5 more runs in the 6th inning, but the Indy team's defense stepped up to stop any more runs and securing a 10-5 win. Indy teams are special as they are made up of individuals looking for a team at the start of the season, starting the league as strangers. Their strengths and abilities led to becoming champions and a permanent team moving on into future leagues together as one.

Mallards flock the competition!
Ballard Mallards are the Midcore softball champs!

On Sunday, June 7th the Ballard Mallards and Motor Batters took the field in high spirits both gunning for the championship after a long and hard season. Motor Batters immediately came out of the gate with 2 runs in the first half, and locking out the Mallards. After a slow first 2 and a half innings Mallards scored a whopping 7 runs in the 3rd inning and 6 runs in the 4th inning in no small part thanks to multiple home runs and an out of the park 3-run home run. Both teams played great but in the end, the Mallards secured a 19 - 7 final score, winning the championship and celebrating with confetti poppers, t-shirt guns, and very high spirits.
