Fall Gentlemens Flag Football at Juanita HS Sundays

Seth had a huge day as Any Given Sunday domintated Montlake Mayhem. Seth accounted for 3 of his team's 6 interceptions, returning 2 of them for touchdowns. On top of that he also passed for another 2 and caught another for 5 total TDs on the day.

In the game of the day at Jaunita, Brent Clark led King Co's finest to a close win over the Junior Falcon Elites. Brent threw for 5 TD passes and showed some excellent field generalship at the end of the game. Midway through the 2nd half, King Co looked like they would run away from the Falcons, lec by the arm of Clark, but a late rally by the Falcons brought them within a touchdown with less than a minute on the clock. As King Co drove for the clinching score an errant pass was picked off and returned for the potential tying touchdown and made it a 1 point game with 40 seconds remaining. The Junior Elite Falcons shunned the tie and decided to go for a two point conversion and the win. On the PAT, King Co picked off the pass and returned it for 2 points and the final margin.

The best game of the night at Jaunita, was the best game of the night. Nate Chambers made a number of outstanding plays, including an interception that sealed a 26-20 win for Junior Falcons Elite over the Glee Club. The Falcons trailed early 14-0, but road the pass catching ablility of Chambers (3 TD catches) to take the lead. Then on the final Glee club drive, he made a game saving interception with 20 seconds remaining to save the victory.

Trevor Nesbitt had one of his best games of the season leading Mr Hands to a Championship win. Nesbitt had 3 TD catches and 2 key interceptions in the 33-0 win over Damage Inc. Trevor made a spectacular one handed catch of a tipped ball for a touchdown. Remarkably, it was after he had his bell rung from hitting the turf 3 plays earlier. A fine performance by Trevor and congratulations on the title.
