Richie showed off his long-time veteran skills by displaying some slick fielding from pitcher. But it was his offense that put him in the spotlight.
Capping off a great comeback, Richie came up in the bottom on the 7th with two runners on, down by one run, and delivered a shot to right field that scored the tying and winning runs. Great game Richie!
In the first game of the evening it was a tight match-up between the two green teams, Kelly green v. Lime. Steal Toes and the Lagers matched each other through the first 3 innings. The lagers had some great outs at 1st, contributed by their catcher who can kick the ball quite accurately. After watching the catchers skills Aubrey came up to kick... its a bunt down 3rd base line, the catch rushes out, kicks a dead on shot to the runner... Almost had her. Aubrey was watching for this move and kept one eye on the ball, she leaps over it for a safe at 1st!! Great play and awareness by both sides!!
It was a pitching duel the first few inning Wednesday night for 'give us your lunch money' and 'Steal Toes.' Andy was playing like the champs he is, throwing strikes and fouls with the best of them. As a team lunch $$ pulled away in the latter innings for a decisive win. For a first year team they are shaping up to be an indomitable force. Well done Andy and the rest of the lunch money crew!!!
What a game for Gui!!! They should be calling this guy 'DAS BOOT.' Huge kicks, great base running, and amazing defensive play on the mound. Gui kept his team going and in the end pulled off a big win against 'fits gonna hit the shan.' Give this guy a gold star!!!
Ryan came out with a vengeance on Wednesday night, never thinking for a moment that this would be the day... he lost his man-card. Everything was all good, he had 2 at bats and his kicks were good, then, in a moment of weakness... he kicks, checks his swing for a grounder and DEAD BALL, DEAD BALL... a man-bunt is called. Head hung in shame, he starts to walk off, but wait, he needs his prize for being a munter... he takes it with a smile on his face and wears it the rest of the game... it did bring him good luck! A couple of RBIs and great defensive play the rest of the game... He officially was returned his man-card... hopefully not to lose it again next week!
Zack had the game of his life Wednesday night. In a huge play against Steal Toes, a kicker comes up to the plate, boots it into left field... It looks like its going over Zack's head... it might be... In a sick move, Zack is running after the ball, takes a look over his shoulder, see's it's there and BOOM! He makes a wicked catch with a slight look over the shoulder... Nothing could have been prettier! What a catch!!

Jeff and Sarah had an 'out of this world' TRIPLE play at second base Wednesday night. There was a catch, a tag to a runner that left, and just when things couldn't get any more confusing, Jerry Vaughn from TURD FERG took off from 1st thinking he could make it to second with his man-parts intact. Oh ho, little did he know Jeff has reflexes of a PUMA, much like the Lagers catcher, and BAM! Solidly hits Jerry close to where no man wants to be hit. Although the Lagers did not pull off a win, they put up an amazing fight and had a play that will go down in MLT history!!!
Dawn pitched a great 2 games this past Wednesday. She was on top of it, even when she got absolutely drilled by a kicker from Short Bus. However, showing she had the bigger balls, Dawn continued her playing with poise and concentration. Player of the Week for gumption and nerves of steel. Great game Dawn!!!
