Starbucks Softball League at Lower Woodlands Fridays

This weeks player of the week goes to Ann Davis of "Java Gym all Stars". Her play at the 2 bag earned her the honors of player of the week. She made great plays, and if she was not getting the outs, she held runners in their tracks, and helped her team get the big "W". Great playing Ann!

This weeks player of the week goes to Dawn Nissen with her all around great play. Dawn played tight "D" in the field making great catches and held the opponents run count down enough to chalk up a "W". It was also her batting that made the difference in the voting box for POTW, batting 4 for 4 in a tight game! Great job Dawn.

This weeks player of the week goes to Virgil Jones of "DC United". Virgil is the most versatile player/coach in the league. In his first game he was able to paint the corners of the plate while pitching, as well as knocking shots out of the park while at the plate. His leadership on the field helps his team all work together. Virgil also did a splendid job with agreeing with all the umps calls, which is a great feet in itself.. Great job Virgil!

This weeks player of the week goes to an individual who week after week plays hard, and has fun doing so. He keeps the moral of his team up as well as opposing teams. He pays compliments, breaks into ballots, and hustles more then all. It is Esco Hubbard of DC United. Though his teams record wasn't top of the charts, they played every team tough, and played hard to the last pitch. After every game positive input was put back into the dug-out, and the teams already looked forward to the next week. Great job Esco, work on hitting some of thoughs notes for next season, and maybe just maybe next stop American Idol! Goodluck!
