FIeld My Balls captures Everett championship with great overall perfomance
Shawn Kemp suffers first loss in years in great extra inning game

What a season, what a game! Field My Balls (let's call them FMB for short) toppled long-reigning defending champs Shawn Kemp (let's call them SK) in an amazing game that needed extra innings to crown a champ. You could tell it was going to be a nail-biter throughout, as SK had beaten FMB in the final inning of their matchup earlier this season and you knew FMB were aching for the rematch. In a rarity, SK chose to be the home team and allowed a first-inning run while scoring none. It was 2-0 FMB after 2 innings, when SK finally got on the board with some smart baserunning and some good sacrifice kicking. Danny G plated 2 runs in the 4th with a home run, and FMB had a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the 7th inning, only to allow 2 runs to score to tie the game and head into extra innings. It wasn't til the top of the ninth where FMB scored 2 to take the lead, leading to a classic bottom of the ninth showdown. SK plated a run and had the tying run on second when Phil C fielded a perfectly placed bunt, fired a laser over to first to end the game and give Field my Balls the championship. Great game by both teams, good luck to Field My Balls down in Lower Woodland as they try to mingle with the Seattle Midcore teams.
