Summer Co-ed Softball at Greenlake Sundays

What an absolute gorgeous Sunday at Greenlake! Not only was the sun shinning bright, but so were some of the Underdog softball talent that came out to play in another Sunday Summer Co-Ed softball League. One of the those talented softballers was a veteran pitcher and all star good guy, Pat Hoven. Pat came up HUGE in their game against a tough opponent, Recovering Alcoballics. Facing a mound of pressure in the very last inning, Pat hit a walk off homerun to end the game with a final score of 15 to 14. Awesome job, Pat!

On an absolutely picture perfect Sunday at Greenlake is there anything better than Underdog Softball? In the 6 o'clock prime time match-up it was In-tox-icated taking on Stranger Danger. In-tox-icated took an early 1st inning 5-0 lead and never looked back until they had to fend off a late rally, but the In-tox-icated bat of Ben Hoekstra proved to be too much for any rally to overcome. Ben smashed not just one, but two grand slams in this game! In a 18-12 final score, it was Ben who accounted for 10 rbi's...amazing!! Congratulations to In-tox-icated on an impressive victory and to Ben Hoekstra our Player Of The Week!!!

Amongst the Dingers it's difficult to pick out the brightest star, but this weekend on Greenlake's pristine softball field, Brittany definitely shined the brightest. She dominated in left field, catching nearly everything that came her way. Also, in the Dinger's first game, she hit a bomb into the outfield that got her to third in an almost incredible last inning comeback. At the plate, in the field...Brittany was unstoppable!! Awesome job out there!!

When the weather is poor and conditions are difficult true competitors come to light. Lindsay played through the rain and trudged through the mud to score the game tying run in the last inning of this pivotal playoff game
