Summer Co-ed Softball at Dahl Playfield Mon/Wed

Junny earns this week's Player of the Week award for shining bright during her first two "competitive" softball games of her life! She held down the catcher position amazingly (by amazingly, she only let 1/3 of the pitches hit the umpire) and by the end of the night was throwing perfect strikes back to the pitcher, even though her arm was "sore as a mother!" Junny also had some great at bats, from the patented Ricky Henderson crouch stance, as she made contact every time and reached base a few times. Things can only get better from here, you're well on your way Junny!

This 18-17 game was one for the ages and Bobby found himself right in the middle of it. If their is one thing in sports more important than talent or hard work, its the ability to be clutch and Bobby put that ability on display with his walk of hit. A hit that earned him this weeks player of the week award.

Starting off in left field, Maynard displayed his knack for the game from the beginning, tracking down fly balls and holding runners from advancing on singles. His talent would carry over to the offensive side, getting hit after hit, scoring runs and driving in RBIs.

As if those abilities weren't enough, Maynard came in to pitch relief the last two innings. Right away, the southpaw found his groove and threw nothing but strikes.

When her team needed her most, Sarah B stepped up to the plate and delivered. Struggling early to score runs, All Star Super Stars looked to their fielder to get them out of their funk. She graciously accepted the challenge, going 4-for-4 on the night, scoring runs and plating RBIs, securing the come-from-behind victory and championship!
