Summer Co-ed Softball at Lower Woodlands Fridays

The Fowl Balls are staring to come alive and the way they are producing runs is scary. They are hitting well, fielding well and just down right getting after it. Scoring 40 runs sends a statement to the next team you play that we are for real and we will score at will. Led by Sam's awesome Grand Slam this team did not slow down and instead kept their foot on the pedal the entire game. Great win and great game Sam!

The Balco Bombers are looking like the team to beat in the league right now. With a combination of hitting, power, base running and lights out pitching they are looking scary good. Scoring 34 runs over 6 innings is quite the statement to send to the rest of the league that they are for real and looking for yet another championship. Sarah batted 5 for 5 on Friday night showing great consistency from the plate and played equally great on defense. She had a triple, 2 doubles and 2 singles while batting in 3 runs. Great win Balco Bombers and great game Sarah!!

For the second time in their brief team history, the Balco Bombers are raising the championship trophy once again. I have seen this team go from getting beat up by some of the better teams to just spanking teams now. They showed resilience, patience, and more than anything a willingness to take a big loss and come back for more each year. Their confidence is never shaken. This team is stacked from top to bottom and the word dynasty comes to mind when their name is mentioned. They have sent a clear message to anyone who wants to jump in the ring with them. It's not going to be a pretty fight and you may wind up on the losing end if you don't bring your A game. Congratulations Bombers!!
