Late Summer Co-ed Beach Volleyball at Alki Wednesdays

Seth and his team waited patiently to sign the waivers, He played very well, and rounded up his team in the end when we were taking down nets, Thank you!!! The whole team was positive and excited for volleyball!!!

Dan came in this week ready for one more win. He rode his bike to the beach and kept the work out inside the court. Dan had no trouble getting his sand legs and helping his team to 1 more victory! He played with ease and was a huge help in communication while battling the gusty wind! Great job this week Dan! Congratulations!

They say one of the most important, nay, THE MOST IMPORTANT way an individual can contribute to a team is by showing up, by being there... and this most certainly makes sense. So perhaps predictably, the looks of gleeful joy and exuberance on the faces of We Dig 4 Play members upon seeing that their teammate Amber had shown up early for their game didn't need much of an explanation. Teammates subsequently shared the lore of Amber’s Brazen historic tardiness. So this week Amber, we all salute you, for being there early, ready to go, ready to wreak havoc on the sands of Alki and most importantly for bringing joy to your teammates.

Perhaps an unimaginable feat was accomplished by none other than Andrew Jacobson from team Scott’s Sandkickers. Conventional wisdom has always dictated that a serve going outside the boundary lines is detrimental to a team’s goal of winning a game, however Andrew broke the mold. That’s just what he does, he's a visionary, a pioneer of sorts. Teammates claim that Andrew’s serves were “out of this world”. Although this claim cannot be verified, what can be verified is that Scott’s Sandkickers won their playoff game and are now on to the next stage. However you did it Andrew, keep it going!
