Spring Co-ed Kickball at Ballard Playfield Sundays

Melissa exemplified the true Underdog spirit with her fun-loving playing style and nifty moves on the ballfield.
On offense she was precise and pesky with her at-kicks.
On defense, she frustrated her opponents by locking down third base and pulling off some cheeky defensive moves.

Shaun gobbled up every fly ball that came near him the entire game. This was a defensive battle, any mistakes likely would cost runs. At the plate he had gotten connection on the ball, but unsuccessful in doing anything more than a sacrifice flyout. But when the game was on the line, bottom of the sixth with runners in scoring position...Shaun Kehrberg came through for his Boats & Hoes. In a cluth kick to left-center, he sealed the fate of the seasoned Cajones. Great job!

It's been a long season for the once mighty Das Cajones. Some tough losses in a season that hasn't quite gone the way they hoped. But never underestimate the heart of a champion. Das Cojones came out hungry in Sunday night's last game and pulled off their first win of the season. Leading the charge was stellar first base-play from Ashli Bush. She took a lot of rocket throw relays from her pitcher at first to throw out bunters and held on to most of them. That kept runners off base while Cojones padded the lead. Congrats to Ashli and Das Cojones on a great night of play.

Brian had a lot of great plays all throughout the night.
He pitched three complete games and led his team to victory.
Although I'm sure he wished he was kicking home runs, he made a positive impact with every at-kick, usually sacrificing to move runners into scoring position. He excelled on defense, shutting down the bunting game of his opponents. Great job Brian!
