Winter Co-ed Volleyball at First Baptist Wednesdays

Ling Ding the Robotic Panda was there for you when you needed a lift in spirit. Her upbeat, sexy, mechanical, and delightfully awkward panda moves filled joy in the hearts of those around her and gave true meaning to equation Panda + Rice = Love. The real question is, what is just Rice without the Panda? Can Love continue to flourish on the volleyball court of this unstoppable team? I guess we'll just have to wait and see... But until then we pay respects to a much missed force of love and excitment: RIP Panda Ling Ding.

Nicole is this week's Player of the Week, not only because she rocks at volleyball, but also because she has the most awe-inspiring and victoriously motivational hand gesture... the camel-toe fist pump! For those unfamiliar with this particular style of pump, it consists of a balled up hand, accurately placed fingers, a little bit of hope and enthusiasm, and a whole lota upward punch! Onlookers have commented, "Her hand kind of looks like an elegant goose head shooting out of the water!" Great job, Nicole!

Jennifer had some amazing hits this week and definitely earned PTOW! Even though her play was not as "setsy" as the rest of her team and her spikes were ferocious. She definitely gave the other team a run for their money when they had to Dig her Sadistic Hits! Go Jennifer!

Luke gets this week's POTW because he is not only an all-around fabulous player, but he also had some amazing blocks this week! The other team couldn't penetrate Luke "the wall" Deryckx's blocking abilities at the net because if they tried to hit it, the ball would come blasting back in their face! Way to go Luke!
