Spring Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Mondays

Michael is one of the new Indy players in the league and he played very well in Opening Day! It's often hard for new teams to find their rhythm, but this team should have no problem in doing that. They played strong in each match and Michael scored several of their points. He had great serves, passes, and even spikes. There was even one play where he blocked the ball and it dropped on his side, but he dove to save it which allowed his teammates to recover and get the point. He has great volleyball IQ and will be a strong asset to this team! Great job this week!

Adolfo is a seasoned player when it comes to the sport of volleyball. He's played for years recreationally and competitively, but his real love is in beach volleyball. On the indoor court, he moves around smoothly and sets up nice passes to his teammates. He can also bring down an emphatic spike! The most memorable moment in tonight's game was when Adolfo jump served for 7 aces in a row!

Player of the Week goes to Courtney for her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and awesome play-making skills. She was all over the place during tonight's game and was giving her teammates perfect passes for a chance to score. She even had a few diving saves and kills. Courtney is a strong volleyball player, but she's also very encouraging to her teammates and keeps everyone's spirits high. It's easy to see you have a love for the sport and have a lot of experience, so thank you for making it fun for everyone else! Your sportsmanship is truly appreciated in the Underdog Sports League!

Greg played two intense games, leading his team to 1-1 for the night. Calculated and focused, this Top Captain knows how to play the net like a champion.
