Marques Camp Supplies The Fire Power
Saturday's 5:30 game at Bobby Morris saw Indy S8 square off with Never Been To Second Base. From the beginning it was quite evident that NBTSB came to play and lead by Marques Camp's hot bat and stellar defense they would not be denied on Saturday. They managed to hold Indy S8 to 4 runs total over 7 innings which is really hard to do in a slow pitch softball game. When Indy did hit the ball it was usually to center field and in the vicinity of Marques which meant that you were going to be out if you hit the ball anywhere near him. They clearly established themselves as a dominant team but this league is rich in talent and they will face much stiffer competition in the weeks to come. Good luck, great win and great game Marques.

Sean Saulter Has Vacuum In His Glove
GEIP was at it again on Saturday at Bobby Morris, putting down the law and just coming together to pull out a hard fought win. Led by Sean Saulter's stellar play at 3rd base GEIP held when they had too and scored in those situations when they needed to. A sign of a well put together team. Their pitching was also stellar along with their base running which in the end won them the game. This team will definitely contend for a league title so all teams beware when you see them on your schedule. Great game Sean and great win GEIP.

Dana Paganelli Goes 6 for 6 In Win
Saturday's 5:30 game between GIEP and NBTSB was a reminder that yes indeed this team is Good In Every Position. Their defense is a tight a drum and their batting when turned up can absolutely wreck a team's morale. Dana put on a hitting clinic going 6 for 6 with a pair of doubles and 4 singles. I actually think she's got some type of suction device in her glove. Whatever is thrown her way is more than likely going to caught no matter how bad the throw is. This team is for real, hungry and looking to avenge a loss in their last league championship game. Teams beware, this team is for real and yes they are good in every position. Great game Dana and great win for GIEP.

Ben Kooms Goes 4 for 4 In Win
The Green Lake Puppy Ticklers are peaking as we get closer to the playoffs and they are hungry to take on all takers right now. Their defense is tight and theit bats hum the sweet sounds of hit after hit after hit. They are strong, they are together and their hustle puts a lot of pressure on teams because they are able to manufacture runs just because of their hustle. All teams beware. This team may be new but they are hungry. Watch out!

Thunder Buddies roll out the thunder in big win!
In the opening game on an absolutely perfect day for Underdog Softball at Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill it was Thunder Buddies taking on Baby Legs. While enjoying some of the local color commentary on the game Thunder Buddies jumped out to a lead in the first inning and never looked back. In a big 14-4 win nobody was bigger than Michael Scholl who crushed 3 home runs (during his birthday week no less) and according to his captain is just now "coming into his prime". Congratulations to Thunder Buddies on their decisive victory and to Michael Scholl, our Player of the Week!!

They Might Be Giants Capture 5th League Title
They Might Be Giants Capture 5th League Title
Total Team Effort Key In Win
Well the dust has settled, and after some hard fought games and some heart break for the top seeded teams, the Giants have walked away with another league title. Lead by a drum tight defense that only suffered two errors the entire game, the Giants' bats and their hustle paved the way for yet another title. Starting the day off as the 5th seed, they did not expect to be in the championship game. It all came together for them in their second game where you could tell that their game experience and playing for titles in the past helped them get over the hump. Amazing game, great excitement throughout and once again congratulations to the Giants for their 5th league title.
