Spring Co-ed Softball at Northacres Sundays

The team that is The Empty Pitchers is back in full stride and looking for yet another league title. They had no problems in either of their Sunday games scoring 22 and 26 runs respectively cementing their legacy and rolling right along looking for any takers to engage them in a down and dirty game of softball. In a league that runs deep with talented teams and players, The Empty Pitchers are mainstays, a household name in USL softball if you will and a team that you are going to have problems with when you face them. Great pitching, great hitting and filthy defense have always been their trademarks and they continue to dominate week in and week out. Great game and great win for a classy team.

Chico's on Sunday showed some toughness and resiliency against power house Buckley's. Down 6 runs early on, and after giving up 10 runs in the first inning they did not panic and instead woke up the bats for what would become one of the sweetest comebacks in USL softball history. Lead by Wayne and his amazing diving catch out of bounds down the third base line and the bat of Bobby, Stu, and Trey, these guys are priming for a run at the league title. Great wins Chico's.

Buckley's is definitely peaking right now and looking to make some noise come playoff time. Behind some incredible pitching and lights out hitting this team is going to give the top teams a really good challenge. Their defense can get tight when it needs to and their energy and hustle is off the charts. I look forward to seeing this team challenge the two top teams for a title. Great win Buckley's.
