They are back at it again and stronger than ever. Baby Got Bats showed up Tuesday night with nothing but lethal intent at the plate and winning on their minds. From the first inning to the seventh inning they relentlessly pounded the ball eventually reeling off twenty four runs over seven innings and made it look easy in the process. They picked up right where they left off last season and they are definitely looking to grab the league crown. Their defense is much improved, their batting and base running has always been stellar and their hustle is crazy. They mean business this time around and are looking for some much needed payback. Well the Thursday night league has begun and a couple of teams really stand out after the first games played. Led by Adam Johnson, QuoteWizard exploded for twenty four total runs over seven innings and made it look rather easy as Adam went 4 for 5 with two deep bases clearing bombs, a triple, a double and 8 RBIs. The guy was on fire and his energy and hustle definitely sparked the rest of his team to follow. QuoteWizard is definitely not going to be an easy task for any team they will face so you had better bring your A game or it will get ugly pretty fast. This team is loaded from top to bottom with awesome fire power and their defense is the direct opposite of Swiss cheese, no holes whatsoever. They all played their butts off and I look forward to seeing them in action again next Thursday. Now, it's true that on any given day any team can be beaten and I have seen the best of them fall in the end. Tuesday night saw an Indy team finally get the monkey off of their backs. Fueled by some great hitting and some very tough defense, Indy S3 ripped off twenty one runs over six innings and never took their foot off the gas. Their defense was equally impressive down the stretch as they made fantastic play after fantastic play and holding PBT to one run in the final inning. They played inspired the entire game and just never gave up when things didn't quite work out for them. Not many Indy teams can score twenty one runs over six innings so this is a testament to the statement "never give, never surrender and play your butts off". Great team win for Indy S3!!

After lost heir very first game of the season Upper Deckers are back to their winning ways. Led by Boyd who put on a hitting clinic and pitched lights out all game, they pounded the ball and played like a team on a mission. Emily P. earns this weeks honors for her work at the plate. Emily was dealing with the bat, and knocked the cover of the ball all game. It was her Homerun that sealed the deal as she hit a bomb and touch all the bases. Great shot Emily!

Right now they are a lock for the number one seed and opposing teams need to understand that when you step on the field with the Junk Yard Dogs you are going to be in a battle. SBHB Dominates Upper Deckers
Kyle Hits Deep Bomb Then Helps Hold UD to 3 Runs
Soft Balls and Hard Bats were up to their winning ways again on Tuesday night romping the Upper Deckers and making a clear statement going into the playoffs. Kyle who pitched for first time ever was lights out working the zone up and down and helping hold the Upper Deckers to 3 total runs. He also delivered a bases clearing shot to deep right field scoring 2 runs. This team is on a mission, their defense and hitting are tight and they are looking to make it to the top of the mountain once again. Great game Kyle and great win SBHB.
Tuesday night's game between baby Got Bats and Indy S3 saw a lot of great softball being played and some excellent pitching by Jason Santos. Behind the stellar defense of Phil at short stop and Janet at second base, Baby Got Bats held Indy S3 to no runs in 4 straight innings paving the way for a much deserved and hard fought win. Upper Deckers Come Up Big Late
Chi Kai Chow's Walk Off 2 Run HR Seals The Deal
It was high drama on Thursday night at Bobby Morris with two teams battling until deep into the 8th inning trying to establish some elbow room before the playoffs roll around. This game went back and forth for a full 7 innings and in the end it came down to one man and one hit. With the game tied 13 a piece and after holding Junk Yard Dogs to 1 run in the top half the table was set. With 2 outs and one on Chi Kai steps into the box and rips the first pitch he sees to deep center field and the ball gets by the outfielder. He turned on the jets and hot footed it around the pads to close the deal. Great game, drive safe and well see you next week. Great game Chi Kai and great win Upper Deckers.
Madison Cushman Provides The Spark On Her Birthday
ICP was at it once again on Tuesday night against Baby Got Bats. While both teams put on an amazing display of defense, it was Madison in the end who made the difference despite not getting the game winning hit. She hustled all game long and had an amazing game behind the plate. She absolutely tore the cover off the ball and clearly inspired her team. Great game Madison and great win for ICP.

Kyle H Delivers Knock Out Blow In Bottom Of 8th
Thursday night's game between JYD and SBHB was an epic game of cat and mouse and a well played game on both sides if i might add. End it came down to one man an his bat with the game on the line. With the score tied at 9 a piece with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th inning into the box steps Kyle. On the second pitch he sees he rips it up the middle scoring the game winning run. This was a hard fought game on both sides and it looks like we will be seeing a repeat match up in the playoffs. Great game Kyle and great win SBHB!!
Down early and with the air slowly seeping from the tires, SBHB needed a pick me up and a pick me up fast against ICP. In steps Frankie and the rest of the crew and the bats begin to sing. After a shot here, a shot there and with some outstanding base running, SBHB reestablished their dominance, settled down and knocked off ICP. This was a great team effort defensively and offensively and they have definitely earned the right to play for a championship. Great game SBHB.
Power house Quote Wizard on Thursday night found themselves in a battle with Baby Got Legs that didn't turnout well in the end. After getting out to a sizeable lead early on, QW's bats went silent then Baby Leg's bats caught on fire. After hit, after hit, after hit the damage had been done and QW found themselves in a hole that they just could not dig themselves out of. The playoffs are fast approaching and the veteran teams have found out when they should be peaking. Well, Baby Legs are peaking and it's scary how much. Great game, great win and look forward to seeing you in the playoffs.
Congratulations to Softballs and Hard Bats for their first league title. I would love to see this top tier team in the Lower Woodlands fall leagues against some of USL's very top tier teams. I think that they could hold their own and would gain valuble experience in the process. This team is the real deal and its been reaaly fun umping for them. Hats off to you all on a great seasonow and hope to see you in one of our upcoming leagues.
