What a Captain is Made of...
Nema had great communication with his Good Volley, Miss Molly - Indy #V6 team throughout all 3 games. He kept everyone's spirits up, while trying to do his best. This Indy Team felt inspired by his passion to play the game. Nema is a True Underdog, and when you play him, make sure you get to know him a little better!

Audrey Fischer
Audrey Fischer
Good Golly, Miss Audrey!
What an eventful night! Team Good Volley, Miss Molly played a heck of a game and Audrey Fischer definitely deserves Player of the Week. Audrey had several points in the matches with a variety of saves, digs, assists, and a BLOCK! Even though she shined on the court, she's even more a team player when she helped out one of her teammates who sadly hurt her thumb in the final match. As the game went on, Audrey sat on the sidelines with her teammate for emotional support and made sure her teammate was going to be okay. Good Golly, Miss Audrey - Thank you for your kindness and helping out your team in numerous ways!!!

Springs into action every play!
Player of the Week goes to Peter Freiling for stepping up to make some big plays in the third week! Kills, blocks, and some of the most heroic digs and play savers I've seen in one night. Also a big "thank you" for BAdgers playing two games since we had a forfeit this week. You guys rock, and great game Peter!

Colleen Gallagher
Colleen Gallagher
Safe Sets
Colleen Gallagher you can outright serve! Anytime you see 15 aces in one game, you better believe that player has serious skill. Colleen's aces are as hard hitting as they are precise and that is a dangerous combination. After going down 0-1 in the first game Colleen brought her team out of the slump and pumped them up with a volley of aces that would eventually secure the match for Safe Sets. If Colleen keeps this up then be sure to watch out because Safe Sets are never out while they have their serving specialist.

Kathleen is Player of the Week!
Always early, Kathleen never fails to offer help. This week she put away all the sideline chairs and answered the door while the net was being set up. She greeted everyone with a smile.

Kathleen is an integral force on Indy #V7, making plays all over the court! You can see that her passion for Volleyball is contagious to her teammates and opponents alike. Her focus puts her game above the rest. If you get a chance, meet Kathleen, as she is a True Underdog.

Middle set
Middle set
Po'okela
As Po'okela mixed up their line up for the night they gave a new meaning to the term middle set. Chuck, a very tall 6 foot something middle, took on the role of setter and ran with it.

Chuck shared his setting responsibilities with teammate Steve which allowed him to show off his setting skills from the back row and still dominate the net while in the front row. His sets were pretty, his hits were crushing and he nailed the chaotic rotations of being a setter.

The whole team did a great job with their new roles on the court and deserve some props. Chuck however stood out most which makes him this weeks player of the week.

The Thrill to Kill
The Thrill to Kill
Spiking Fiery
Man, oh, man! Zach was a force to be reckoned with and I didn't expect the power he had when he threw down the spikes in the games. He's a talented volleyball player with other essential skills such as with placing perfect sets, passing, and serving. Once he rotated to the front row though, the fun began! Zach had several killer spikes that came firing down and untouched by the opponents. There was one specific spike he had that was ridiculously amazing. There was a high set to the middle and he was turned around backwards not expecting the ball to be passed to him. Then he spun in the air doing a 180 and came swinging down on the ball and it landed in front of the 10 ft line! It was so awesome and a shock to everyone! Great game, Zach!
