Summer Midcore Kickball at Magnolia Playfield Mon/Wed

This weeks player of the week goes to Miles Bensky! A crowd favorite with both teams in both games he played. His hustle was terrific and his plays got lots of reaction from both teams as he played left-field. Still early in the season, Miles is slowly honeing his skills, and one day we may see him as a future olympic kickball player. Remember us when you carry the torch Miles!! Great job!

Ben rallied back after a couple fly outs to have 2 RBI's and a web gem of a layout in shallow center...too bad he missed the catch.

Simply put, the catch that Brenden Richards made late Monday evening could most definitely merrit an ESPY invitation. How many times Brenden avoided "the drop" with desperate finger-tip lunges is yet to be determined, but with one last final grasp, Brenden was able to twist his body, dive on his back, and catch the elusive red ball with his very finger tips! Absolutely amazing catch Brenden!

Amy Madrigali is your player of the week earning it with her down and dirty play and fun attitude! Not only did Amy shake off getting plugged in the head diving into second base, but she showed some nifty baserunning jukes as she hurdled the ball heading back into first. Voted Player of the game by THE OPPOSING TEAM, Congrats to Amy!!!

Player of the Week goes to Karly Billstein. After wearing a ball off the sunglasses in the first game of the double header, Karly came back and wowed everybody in the nightcap catching a screaming line drive that she needed to cradle between the knees to hold on to. An absolutely beautiful catch Karly, Congrats!!!

Player of the Week goes to the SloRoller's TEAM. After beating Where My Pitches At in a supurb 6-2 game, those few who did not head out to Mulleady's to celebrate their perfect season stuck around and provided 3rd place winner Kickin' Dong with a competative, well played exhibition. Player of the Week recognition is also extended to the Kickin' Dong TEAM who, even though claimed 3rd place by forfeit, showed great class by sticking around and having fun anyway. Great sportsmanship was displayed by ALL playoff teams!!!
