In a rematch of the first game of the season, LaFawnda put their title defense on the line against a determined #1 seed Kickintology squad.
The entire game was broken down into great defensive plays, and small ball offense with lots of tag up advancing and strategic moving of base runners.
Every time one of the Fremont juggernauts got up by a run, the other would surge in the next half inning to tie or go up themselves. A nail-biter till the end, it was Kickintology who outlasted the defending champs 13-7 with big offense in the bottom of the sixth, on defense they were led by their gentleman outfielders covering some major area.
The 3rd place match was an extremely close one. In the end, the Hoochies preserved their 1-run lead with a beautiful throw to home plate that forced the tying run to jump over the plate to avoid getting hit, and the ball ended up rolling into him before he could Matrix himself back and touch home plate. Great playoffs night!
