Though it was an unseasonbly cold day at the Paramount ballfields on Sunday, Jihan Anderson was on fire with both the glove and the bat. She not only made some outstanding plays in the field, but also hit for "the cycle" in Tapout's convincing 22-9 win over the Lawn Wranglers. The only real question now is if Jihan will stay as hot when the weather heats up. We suspect she will.

Tayana Ross had 2 hits and scored 3 times to lead Tapout to their 4th win of the season. Ross also added two outstanding catches in Right Field, one a running "snow cone" catch that prevented I'd Hit That from mounting a mid game rally. The win enabled Tapout to keep its record unblemished at 4-0 heading into next weeks game against unbeaten Twist Restaurant.

In a battle of undefeated teams, Tapout and Twist Restaurant, Mike Olsen led Tapout to huge win. Olsen broke open a close game in the 3rd inning with the first of his two home runs. The 3rd inning home run capped an 8 run inning. Mike also added two insurance runs in the 6th inning with a two run home run.

In a game closer than the pundits would have imagined, Jason Ross led Tapout to 6-5 win that kept Tapout undefeated on the season. Ross played stellar defense in the outfield and added 3 RBI's, including the game winner in the bottom of the 7th inning.

I'd Hit That
Rob Browne led I'd Hit That to their 3rd win of the season, a 15-4 win over the CC Poets. Browne had two hits and provided steady pitching in the win. Rob's pitching was key in the 6th inning when he was able to pitch out of a bases loaded, one out jam, by inducing two infield popouts.

Lawn Wranglers
Steven Masada led the Lawn Wranglers to two consecutive wins and the Championship game where they lost in extra innings to the Marinators. Masada was outstanding in the outfield in all 3 games, making numerous impressive catches, most notably a diving catch in the bottom of the 6th inning in the Championship game. The catch kept the Lawn Wrangler close enough to take the lead in the 7th inning, before losing a heart breaker in the 8th.
