Summer Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

In what had been a very close game all the way through, Andy ended up making the difference. Sons of Pitches had jumped out to an early lead, but they couldn't hold it for the full 7 innings at Sax and Racks came back and tied the game up in the 6th. In the 7th inning though, Andy got on base and motored around to score the winning run.

Jake pitched a complete game. His pitching was phenomenal and his fielding was incredible. Every time the ball was kicked at him he reacted with cat like reflexes catching everything. That night he was unstoppable on the mound. It was his territory and his alone. Jake is just to dominate on that mound. Good luck to the rest of the teams that face him this year.

This guy can play all the positions. Every inning he was in a different position and in every position that he played he made all the plays. He was playing kickball at a new level. Watch out for this team cause they will sneak up on you.

Melissa A earns this week's Player of the Week for consistently refusing to use the safety base and sparking a fire under her team as they rallied for an amazing comeback. Melissa's first time up didn't go so well, as she dropped a nice bunt up the first base line, then ran through the first baseman as she tried to make it to the bag. She was most displeased to be called out, and wasn't sold on the belief that she shouldn't be able to run over other players. Her next time up was quite similar, as she again refused to use the safety base and ran into another collision with the firstbaseman, this time knocking in the first run of the game for her team. FUN-K.O. never looked back after that first run, scoring 11 unanswered runs to beat Sax and Racks 11-8 in a stellar quarterfinal matchup. Good luck next week in the championship!
