Michelle Rauschenbach
Pitch, Please!
After suffering through a mid game position change in a previous season that in my opinion cost her team the game as she was the driving force in her team's success defensively, she showed her true grit and metal while playing an altogether new position on opening night for her team. Never being a starting pitcher prior to this evening, Michelle threw a complete game gem and was also 3 for 3 at the plate with two runs scored, helping her cause. Michelle is proving that she is a do everything type player and Willie Bloomquist would be proud of her utility skills!!!
What's the best way to snuff out a bases loaded rally? How about an unassisted double play to end the inning. Adam provided the sweet defense on a kick to third doubling up the opposition and ending the inning as "50 Shades" hung on for their 11-8 victory.

Tristan Conley
Recess Renegades
Tristan was a magnet for the kickball on Thursday night. Wherever he lined up on the field, Tristan was making plays. Line outs, popups, sharp grounders, he handled everything coming his way. Tristan turned a couple of unassisted double plays well! The rest of the Renegades could take night off as Tristan was taking care of the defense all on his own. Great job Tristan!

Christina
Just for Kicks!
Christina showed up injury free at the start of this season for the first time in a long time. While she was a terror when she had a bum ankle, she is even more relentless now that her body is fully functioning. While pitching a complete game shut out, Christina also helped her cause at the plate by going 3 for 4 and knocking in 2 runs while scoring 2 herself. This was a dominant performance pitching and kicking. Now being healthy, I can see her putting up MVP type numbers. Should at least be the starting pitcher come all star game...

Karrah Rust as POTW
Pitch, Please! cruises to Victory
Karrah was a force all over the field including a great slide into second to inspire pitch please! to victory on a Sunny Thursday afternoon. She might have even been out on the slide, but the guts to do it easily explains the offensive explosion for 14 runs - Nice work Karrah.

Alice Reiff
Recess Renegades
Sometimes you win player of the week for offense. Sometimes it is your defense. For Alice it was a little of both but mainly for surviving a wicked collision at second base. After getting blindsided, Alice popped up like a champ. She showed off her grit and heart by shaking off the pain and walking off the field on her own power. After the collision the renegades finished off the victory for Alice. Hope you feel better Alice!
Nate and Wenchie tie the knot, earn Co-Players of the Week!
Met through Underdog kickball, marrying each other 4 years later
Love at first kick, isn't that how the saying goes? Well, it does for Nate and Wenchie, who met on the kickball diamond 4 years ago and will be getting married this Saturday. He plays third base, she plays first, it was a match made in heaven. You probably couldn't tell these two were getting married when Nate bounced a terrible throw to first that didn't get the runner, and Wenchie yelled at him from across the field, but once the game ended you knew it was true love. Congrats to both of you!

Andrea Moloney
Master-Batters
Impressing your teamates may not be an easy feat but when you get props from your opponent you know you have done something special. Which is what Andrea did on Thursday. On multiple occasions, batters had thought they placed their kicks perfectly only to get gunned down at first by Andrea. Fielding grounders and firing a strong throw to first is a difficult task at any position. But Andrea made the plays look routine. If it wasn't for her strong defensive play, the game easily could had a different result. Great game Andrea!
Kelsey started the championship game with a great overhead catch of a smokin' line drive to second. She continued the defensive prowess with a great catch in shallow right [fighting her guys for the ball], and a catch and double play to end a potential rally. On offense, she beat a critical throw to 1st earning the go-ahead RBI and bringing home the trophy. Great game and always a great attitude.
