Summer Funcore Kickball Downtown Tues/Thurs

Carrie was the epitome of her team's name. Bunting is for Beaches. In a game where she was the complete game winning pitcher, she helped her team overcome an early 6 - 0 deficit. While shutting out the opponent after the 3rd inning, Carrie really helped her cause with her performance at the plate. Her team being blanked for the first two innings, she calmly led off the 3rd inning with a beautifully placed line drive between short and second that ignited a two run inning, which was just the beginning to a 3 for 4 night that culminated into a 11 - 7 win.

James S is our player of the week. James made many defensive plays in a defensive ball game. James had 3 double plays, a few great catches, and a couple tag outs to hold the opposing team to 1 run for the game. Where My Pitches At? were all dressed up celebrating a birthday and it brought their game to the next level. This gives James and his team the honors this week, despite no one knowing who's birthday it actually was. Great job James and Where My Pitches At!

Sean G is our player of the week going 0-4 with a fielder's choice and a run scored. Not the most impressive outing he has had, but it was his birthday, and that makes him great enough for our player of the week honors. He was the most spirited in apparel and attitude during the game. He was likely the reason his teammate Mikkel had an unexpected defensive showing of excellence. Balls Deep in the Outfield had a great week and thank you Sean and Mikkel for a great game!

Breana P kicked some ass this week. She caught everything that came anywhere close to her and was making great catches for forces at 1st despite some bad throws. Breana is the only reason Where My Pitches At stayed in the game until they came back in the final two innings. And let's face it, she drives the spirit of the team as well. Thank you Where my Pitches At for a great game and excellent job Breana this week and every week!

Andy was integral in Team rival picking up the win on Thursday. He could be seen everywhere in the outfield, making great catches wherever the ball was. He was a great clubhouse presence as well as he could be seen congratulating the runners on the way home with a water balloon!
