Kate H. earns first Player of The Week award!
Ball Hogs
The bases were loaded, one out, and the defense was desperately needing a stop. A high fly ball was crushed deeeeeep to left field, Kate went back, way back, stuck up her arms and made an incredible finger-tip catch! Many would do a little celebratory dance after making such an amazing catch, but with an incredible kickball IQ, Kate looked to the infield to see the runners in mass chaos, beat a runner back to second base, and recorded the classic 7-unassisted double play! Congrats Kate and welcome to Underdog Kickball!

Aaron Peterson
Oddballs
Aaron had a tremendous first week of kickball with huge power on offense and great range on defense. He had at least 2 kicks that got to the sidewalk past the outfield for a couple triples. Scored 4 runs himself and had a total of 7 RBI's, accounting for nearly half his team's scoring.
On defense, his range in the outfield led to several sure base hits going for outs instead--on one play, he couldn't get to the ball but was able to kick it up in the air before it hit the ground, allowing a teammate to make an incredible catch and rally ending out late in the game.
After first two innings, neither team could muster any runs... That is until Erik Peterson came up to bat. Leading off at the top of the inning, Erik calmly belted a deep fly ball to right field that not Ichiro would have got to and strolled the bases for a Home Run and a 1 - 0 lead. That boot seemed to have ignited his tea, and the team began to put runs across the plate at a decent rate each inning on.

Drew Hamlet
Ball Hogs
This night Drew's team wss being shut out 3 - 0 heading into the top of the 7th. After finally getting off the snide with scoring a run early in the inning, Drew comes up with the the bases loaded and belts a game winning 3 run triple to complete the comeback in a thrilling 5 - 3 victory. Not only was Drew clutch in the final inning. He played great defense even keeping the opponent from scoring with bases loaded and no outs.

Daren Brunner
You're My Boy, Blue!
Daren was an all-star kickballer on Wednesday night. Whether on offense or defense, he was at the top of his game. Kicking monster blasts over the outfielders heads or being quick on his feet and grabbing the extra base, his offense was superb. His defense wasn't too shabby either, turning multiple unassisted double plays at first base. Daren was head and shoulders above the competition on this warm Seattle night. Great job Daren!!
Oddballs got out to an early lead. When brews on first started to make a come back the oddballs did not lose focus and kept the lead. What attributed to the lead was energy the team brought. If this was a spirit game they would have lots of spirit points.
Jimmie was a beast out there. He was positioned at third base but it really felt like he was covering the whole field. He showed much athleticism out there. Ball after ball was kicked to him and he would get them out every single time. He was like a wall out there and nothing could get past him. They tried to kick it past him, but failed every time.
Made an amazing catch in centerfield on a ball that was heading toward the track at the edge of centerfield. She got great position reached up and snagged that catch with both hands to end a rally by Already Kicked That. On offense, she got on base several times with some nicely placed kicks, had an RBI and scored a run. An all around great performance.
