Amy Hasson
The Green Machine
As a kickball rookie playing her first game ever, Amy pulled off a spectacular diving catch. On the play, Amy tracked down a well kicked ball that looked to be going over head. As soon as she got her hands on it, she wasn't letting go. Even when her momentum took her to the ground. An unbelievable highlight reel, Sportcenter top 10 play. Amy had what could be the play of the year on day 1! Way to go Amy!!

Karina Dion
Pitchestude and Buntsology
When Karina walked up to the plate, bottom of the 7th inning, two outs, the tensity of the game permeated the air. Her first bunt attempt resulted in a foul ball, causing Karina to shake her head in frustration. Needing two runs to cap off a monstrous comeback, Pitches and Bunts turned to Karina, a staple of Underdog Kickball, to save the day. Karina came through in the clutch, singling home two of her teammates to ensure a walk-off victory. For her heroics, Karina is our player of the week.

Betty Devich
Goat rodeo
Though her team lost on Wednesday, Betty is our player of the week for her outstanding effort on the kickball field. Betty's shining moment came during her at-bat late in the 6th inning. The outfield played up, expecting a bunt, and Betty subsequently ripped the ball past the entire defense for a home run. For this spectacular display of athletic aptitude, Betty is our player of the week.

Amy Hasson
The Green Machine
Despite her team getting in a 10-0 hole early, Amy H still made everyone on the kickball field fear kicking it her direction. From catching a Willie Mays style basket catch to running down a tagging runner from the outfield, Amy was doing it all and earned this week's Player of The Week! Congrats Amy!

Eddie Estrada
Entercommies
In a game both teams had circled on their calender, "Electric" Eddie E took things into his own hands (feet) when he came up in the bottom of the last inning with the score tied. It was a back and forth game with runs coming at a premium. Violent Chubbies loaded the bases in the top of the 7th but couldn't score, bringing Eddie to the plate to lead off the bottom 7 and making sure the game lasted no longer, crushing a ball to deep right field and clearing the bases without a throw. Congrats Eddie and congrats Entercommies!

Catie Beck
Entercommies
Catie B earns this week's Player of The Week for not only her outstanding infield defense, but also for the fact that she flew out from Washington DC to make the game. While she doesn't plan on being bi-coastal for many more games, she's always willing to give what it takes to help her team. Throw in a couple of booming kicks (and a few bunts while the defense was playing back), Catie certainly earned this award.

Jon Weeden
Ouch My Balls!
This weeks player of the week goes to a player who's team fell a little short in the run total but showed serious D1 skills. Jon W. caught absolutely every shot kicked in his direction, all running catches out near the warning track. Jon also kicked the hell out of the ball, and had a serious spray chart able to kick in any direction. With Jon's all around performance earns the honors as POTW. Great job all*star Jon.

Jake K.
Pitchestude and Buntsology
The score of this game was much closer than the score indicates as it was a tie game going into the bottom of the sixth. Jake was the difference in this one though, coming through with a big 3 run home run to put his team up for good.

Hampton "The Muscle" Terry makes the Play of the Week!
Defensive gem at first base overshadows team defeat
Hampton earns this week's Player of the Week award for making an outstanding play at first base. A sharp line drive was kicked to second base, and with the baserunner booking it down the line, the secondbaseman had to make a wild throw to first. The throw was so offline that Hampton had to jump to the foul side of the baseline, jump fully in the air and volleyball spike the errant throw off the runner's leg to record the out at first. This prompted the entire team to utter shouts of joy as they rallied around Hampton to congratulate him, unfortunately that was only the second out recorded and in the celebration a run was still scored by the opposing team. The true Underdogs are the ones who have fun playing regardless of the score, and no better examples than Hampton and Ball So Hard, That Kick Cray. Congrats!
Mike W earns Player of the Week for amazing OF catch
Pitches and Bunts tops #1 seed Entercommies 8-6 behind great defense and clutch kicks
The bases were loaded, 2 out in a 2-run game in the 4th inning. A kick was launched deep into right-center field, both outfielders were going back at full speed. The center fielder called "I got it!" as she stuck out her arms to catch the ball. Oh no, the ball bounced off her wrists, flying into the sky! In swoops in Mike W, playing outstanding backup defense, to save the day (and 3 runs- remember the bases were loaded!) and keep his Pitches and Bunts team close enough for a late-game comeback victory over the Entercommies. Congrats to Mike and congrats P&B in moving to the championship game!
