Yeah Shannon!! This girl was such a trooper in Bumpin' Uglies' double header this week. After a tough first match against Scared Hitless, Shannon's setting skills took over and led to a win against TA. She was setting up kills left and right, showing no mercy as her teammates tirelessly smacked down ball after ball. What a great first week! Sick job Shannon and good luck next week!!

Get it Ryan!! This guy played awesome today! He was smackin down every ball, making crazy saves and just tearin it up in general. If only we had been taking sweet action shots to put up all over the website.. Hah! But seriously Ryan is in it to win it. With outstanding vocal abilities, he encourages his team and makes sure everyone knows what's up. A great team player, Ryan knows how to put it away and end a long rally with a W. In their second match against Sets Offenders, the last set was crazy close. It was neck and neck. To win it, Ryan went up for one final hit. Just as it looked like he was about to smack it straight down, he effortlessly tipped it just out of the Offenders' reach. And that kids, is how the W was achieved. Amazing job Ryan!!

After just a couple minutes of talking, I knew I was in the presence of greatness. Not only did he get a whopping 176 kills according to his opponents, but he has a great personality that lit up the court! He is an avid twitter and instagram user, and hopes to be featured there one day. His volleyball skills are impeccable and he will be doing great things in the future.

TA had a great double header today! They had a ton of energy the whole time and never gave up. They started off a few players short, but nonetheless, started off strong. As more players showed up, you could tell how supportive the team was. They pushed through both sets of games like true champs - and even stayed to play afterwards! Great team dynamic with a ton of skill.

Three cheers for Sam!! This girl played awesome last night! She was digging up everything for her team and showed supreme skill up at the net. With a slight vertical disadvantage , Sam was killin' it with perfectly executed hits and a serve that would surprise you. With an intimidating "hiyah!" Sam's hits from the front and back row were menacing for sure. She had so many one-handed diving saves that it was hard to keep track. She also is one of the most consistent defensive players we've gotten to see this season. Way to keep up the good work throughout. Good luck in playoffs and hopefully the upcoming finals!!

Congrats to Matt! This guy was on fire yesterday!! Even in the wee hours of the setting sun, with impaired visibility and Matt was pullin' out all the stops! He has been one to watch all season with his powerful hits and cat-like reflexes on defense. Last night was no exception. Matt was going all out on D, saving balls left and right. He has one of the best approaches too; the kind where you know it's going to be an amazing hit when he flies up into the air. Well done Matt and congratulations on a great season!!
