4th Grade Allstars, Angry Pirates, Kick It Real Good, Puget Pounders - Indy #1
POTW: Jason Dirks
Lafawnda
Jason led a big Lawfawnda comeback on opening day, after being down 6-0 early, Jason led an offensive explosion that led to a run capped 9 run inning. He would put the explanation point on the game later and put it away with a home run.

POTW: Roger Long
Lord of the Pants
In a miraculous finish, Lord of the Pants was able to squeeze out a one run victory over Balls of Rubber. While Balls of Rubber led for most of the evening, in the bottom of the seventh, trailing 3-2, Lord of the Pants stepped up their game. A big reason they came out victorious was Roger Long, who scored the game winning run after knocking in the game tying run and also scoring a run in a previous inning.

POTW: Andrew Streeter
Angry Pirates
Andrew Streeter had quick feet and quick thinking Tuesday evening. His great defense- including a stellar no look tag out- secured a big win for his Angry Pirates. It seems like only yesterday that the Pirates were wet behind the ears rookies themselves. All we can say is "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!"
4th Grade Allstars, Angry Pirates, Dunder Mifflin, Kick It Real Good
POTW: Carl Berg
Balls of Rubber
Pitcher Carl Berg made an awesome defensive play late in the game. The kicker kicked a short, low fly that barely landed inside the first base line and took an odd bounce that would've made it foul. However, Carl quickly fielded it in mid-air while still fair, spun and gunned down the runner...all before his feet hit the ground. It was quite the heads-up play.
Balls of Rubber, Dunder Mifflin, Lafawnda, Lord of the Pants
POTW: Ross Paker
4th Grade Allstars
Ross Parker had a fabulous night for the All Stars. He played, excuse the pun, All Star Defense and hit his first kickball home-run since the 4th grade! An honorable mention for player of the week is Adren (A-Rav) Coleman who was the straw that stirred the drink for the Angry Pirates but Ross' contributions on both sides of the field got him player of the week. Congratulations Ross and keep up the good work. I suppose now teams are going to pitch around you but keep your head up!
Balls of Rubber, Dunder Mifflin, Kick It Real Good, Puget Pounders - Indy #1
POTW: Joe Lembo
Lafawnda
Joe brought his kicking shoes. With score tied and a couple ducks on the pond, Joe knocked a laser down the first base line to put his LaFawnda team up for good. And just for icing on the cake, he helped add an insurance run in the seventh. Nice kickin' Joe.
4th Grade Allstars, Angry Pirates, Lafawnda, Lord of the Pants
POTW: Ben Boyntnon
Kick It Real Good
Ben, playing catcher in jeans and a button-down shirt, made a phenomenal play at home plate in the bottom of the seventh inffin. When the throw home went awry, Ben quickly recovered the ball and tagged the runner trying to slide into home plate. This play ended the opposing team's comeback rally and solidified the win by Kick it Real Good.

POTW: Bob Evans
Lafawnda
Even though this was a high scoring game, Bob helped keep his team in the game with his pitching and defense on the mound. He grabbed several balls that were kicked up the middle to help his team secure the victory in this back and forth game.
4th Grade Allstars, Angry Pirates, Lafawnda, Lord of the Pants
POTW: Robert Hernandez
Balls of Rubber
Robert didn't do a whole lot in the game, but that may have been because of those tight jeans. He gets POTW as it's amazing that anyone could actually move around a kickball field in pants that tight.
Angry Pirates, Balls of Rubber, Dunder Mifflin, Lord of the Pants
POTW: Matt Stadelman
Lafawnda
Matt helped his team with a huge kick in the 5th or 6th inning to score 3 runs, including himself. His homerun turned the game around and "kick it real good" was not able to come back. Nice work Matt.
This week in the co-ed midcore kickball league at Ross Playfield on Tuesdays and Thursdays Dana Anderson showed her dedication in Lafawnda's championship victory over the 4th Grade Allstars by holding her ground on second base to get the out even after a dusty collision. Dana was also perfect at the plate, going 3 for 3. Dana showed the kind of effort it takes to win championships! Good job Dana!
