Summer Co-ed Softball at Paramount Sundays

On a hot Sunday late afternoon only one thing was hotter and that was the match-up between Park Pub and Slammers at Paramount. The Slammers jumped out to an early lead but Park Pub was up to the challenge. They immediately stepped up their defense while their bats heated up. No bat was hotter all day than the bat of Brendan Stamper who went an incredible 5-for-5 from the plate. To put the icing on the cake Brendan also made the game ending catch to squelch any last minute comeback. Congrats Park Place on a 25-16 win and to Brendan Stamper out Player of the Week!!!

Joel batted 5-5 on the day. But the highlight was that he was on the backend of 2 double plays at first. Twice there were fly outs to the outfield, and he and his outfielders caught runners asleep on first.

Ryan pitched all seven innings in this pitchers duel. He allowed only two runs in seven innings. The game lasted only 40 minutes.

Great pitching performance, giving up only 1 run in 7 innings.

She made several great stops on ground balls, snagged a couple line drives, and made countless POs at 2B to get the lead runner. Jihan had two hits in each game, including a base knock and RBI in her team's championship game rally. Tapout better re-sign her quick, or she may have an A-ROD size free agent contract coming her way.
