We are back at it in Fremont Monday nights and, although your reigning champs are back and show no signs of slowing down, Po'okela is back to and ready to beat down. Leading Po'okela tonight was Chuck. With his sweet serves, inspirational enthusiasm, and strong kills, Chuck's team voted him Player of the Game with the nickname, "Killa." Congrats, Chuck! You are our Player of the Week!

Give it up for Jon Greig this week! It is always great to see our Indy teams succeed, especially when they do so in style. Jon was a pleasure to watch this week. He is one of the best returners we've seen in a while, but that's not all he can do. Jon sets the ball perfectly, hustles for saves, can slam the ball, and had a super nice dive. Add enthusiasm and leadership to the mix and you've got a Player of the Week! Congratulations, Jonathan Greig!!

Poop Sandwich was up against another tough team this week, Our Balls Don't Drop. Both teams have been a round a while and continue to grow stronger each season. Poop was down a couple players tonight but it didn't seem to phase them. Their communication on the court lead them to victory along with the help of Leah. Leah was key to Poop's wins tonight. All three sets were close, ending 26-24 in both the first two sets and 25-23 in the third. If it weren't for Leah's strong serves, the final scores might look a bit different. Nice work tonight, Leah! And congratulations on being named Player of the Week!

Our Balls Don't Drop
Though "Our Balls Don't Drop" fell short today, Marissa's talents were too good to ignore. She displayed some great hitting ability as she went up against the tallest player in the league. Marissa was able to avoid the opponents out stretched arms and slam the ball to the ground. Her tenacious defense kept her team in the game and lifted the play of the teammates around her. Our Balls Don't Drop have been proving they can hang with any team in this league. And I wouldn't be surprised if they were donning some new Underdog champion shirts by the end of the season. Great job Marissa and the rest of Our Balls Don't Drop

Rani earned the Player of the Week by spiking her way to a team victory over Supersonic Overdrive. She isn't the tallest on the court but her athletic abilities let her rise up tonight and send the ball crashing down to the other side. Rani played the angles with pure genius and was able to avoid the outstretched arms of any defender. Her volleyball IQ is second to none, as she continually exposed the opposition's weaknesses. Great job tonight on the win, Rani. Lead your team as we come into the playoff stretch!

From the beginning to end, GoHawks bring the party to the courts. Tonight they brought the tunes that had everyone bobbing their heads and mumbling the words. But the music isn't what makes these Hawks standout. GOHAWKS are flying around the court just making plays like the neighbors we love that play on Sundays. Leading the charge is Paul, who is the communicator of the team. He brings the intensity and is a complete playmaker with his hard-driven swings. After such an amazing season the Seahawks had... it was only proper that the GOHAWKS receive this weeks MVP

Emily was the most impressive player tonight as she showcased some great volleyball skills. In a loser goes home match against Four Corners, Emily stepped up big time with her pin point spikes. She kept an even keel all night, never getting flustered by the towering blockers in front of her. Emily just worked the angles helping Our Balls Don't Drop upset the number 3 seeded Four Corners. Our Balls Don't Drop was firing on all cylinders but Emily was steering their way to victory. Great job Emily!
