Congratulations to Michael from Aces Around for getting this season's first Player of the Week award!! Aces Around played a double header tonight ad Michael was on fire the entire time! With the support of his teammates, Michael made sure his serves we're coming in hot all night. When not serving up a storm, this guy was making saves up at the net and setting up a storm. Aces Around has some pretty strong hitters who were utilizing Michael's perfectly placed sets all day! Sweet job Michael. Way to set your team to victory! Twice!

Yeah Jack, Queen, King...!!! These guys really played like a team tonight, killin' it from everywhere! Serves were hard and defense was on point. They had a late night double header and there wasn't a single dull moment! The highlight of the night was the awesome duo between Chase and Graham. Chase's sets were bitchin' as per usual and Graham's hits were ridiculous! Practically every ball that went to these two was a point. Way to be awesome and pick up the double win tonight! Jack, Queen, King... will definitely be a team to watch out for this season.

This weeks Player of the Week goes to Indy #V8's Julio!!! This guy is such a leader on the court. He's always talking with his team, offering advice and showing support. Julio was setting for the majority of the team's double header, placing the ball up with style for his teammates. Along with setting, he was passing up hard hits, recovering balls up at the net, and even smacking down a few kills now and then. Best part of the night was when Julio executed a perfect pancake which his teammates recovered for a point! That was a textbook as pancakes come which showed in the excitement that followed. Way to go Julio!!! Keep it up!

Congrats Chris!! This guy was picking everything up. Running full speed to pick up shanked balls at the net and hard hits from Jack, Queen, King... He was runnin' full speed to retrieve balls and wasn't the least bit hesitant to sacrifice his body. This guy dove all out many a time and even had some sick tips and hits up at the net. This was definitely a fun match to watch. Way to go guys!

Get it Lauren!! This girl had an amazing night this week! She was passing up everything in the back row, digging crazy hard hits by Jack, Queen, King... and making a handful of diving saves all over the court. Lauren had an amazing serving night too! In the second game against Jack, Queen, King... she pushed the ball to the deep corners to tie it up at 26-26. Then for the finishing touch, she served two rocket aces in a row to win the game! Great job Lauren. Way to be an awesome player and team captain!! Keep up the good work Aces Around and good luck next week.

Yeah Jen!!! This girl is a great team player. She's Scrappy's finest setter and can also hold her own at defense and offense. Jennifer had countless kills in the front row and tons of sweet serves. She's always talking and encouraging her team. So much positivity in this girl. She always has a great attitude and bright and optimistic spirit which definitely contributes to Scrappy's team spirit and wins!! Way to go Jen. You da best!

CHAMPIONS!!!
Congrats to this season's champs Jack, Queen, King...!!! In an intense match up against Aces Around, these guys really pulled it out. Both teams were great in skill and discipline, but in the end Jack, Queen, King... took home the gold. With perfect sets by Chase and awesome kills by literally everyone on the team, Jack, Queen, King... was on their way to victory from the start. Graham of course had all mighty kills, Lindsey dominated the last serving run of the match, Ashley was digging up all of Aces Around's hits, Anna was killin' it with sweet blocks up at the net, and Jacob was "serving for days" and killing balls from front and back row. These guys were definitely a force to be reckoned with this season and I can only imagine what they will have in store come Spring. Way to go Jack, Queen, King...! We'll be seeing you next season!!
