Jake started early in 2014 with 3 solid Home-runs in his first game of the season, and his squad started off 1 and 0 for the season. Jake also played the best 3rd base on the day, chalking up numerous outs and showing no mercy on the opponent with great throws to where they were needed. Great day Jake!

Peggy I. is the Player of the Week in a amazing 8 inning game that was decided by 1 run allowed in the top of the 8th. Both teams played with unbelievable defenses, and Peggy lead the out total for her squad. Peggy tallied numerous outs at second base and helped her team to a 1 to 0 victory in this Underdog historic game. Congrats to both teams for their exceptional defense, and great game Peggy!

Beth W of Where My Pitches At should be considered a nominee for next years kickball hall of Fame. She dominated at shortstop. One hard line drive kick...no problem from Beth....she makes a great catch. Another hard line drive, looking like its gonna drop in their for a single, NOPE....Beth makes a Rock n Roll guitar slide catch for out number 2 of the inning. Loud cheers and applause from the opposing team and fans alike. She was even nominated player of the game by Tequila Mockingbirds....... WOW! Great job, Beth!

As everyone was amped up for the SuperBowl and looking for a little distraction and entertainment, what better way to do it than some kickball? Right out of the gate you could see that the teams came to play as Kick Yo Couch Ninjas squared off against Cobra Kai. Kick Yo Couch Ninjas put up 18 runs in large part due to the leg of Don Lawrence who actually kicked for the cycle with a home run, triple, double and single!! Not an easy thing to do and well worth earning Player Of The Week! Congrats to Kick Yo Couch Ninjas on an impressive 18-7 victory and to Don Lawrence, Player Of The Week!!

I regret to inform the Pacific Northwest kickball region that Chris of Don't Stop Balllieving is seeking out a new adventure in Salt Lake City. Chris, who invented Russian or Polish or possibly Ukrainian style kicking, played with Underdog for quite a few seasons and is well liked by everyone he comes across. For his final game in Seattle, he went 4 for 4 with a few top notch plays from behind the plate. Thanks for all the good times and best of luck in your new endeavors. Come back and see us soon.
