In the softcore portion of the Fall Woodland Parl USL Coed Sunday Softball league, the lowest seated Fighting Penguins, who won only one game this season, came into the playoffs as if they were possessed by a spirit of some sort, perhaps the Great Penguin. After dispatching the top seated Here for Beer, they poised to meet Whisker Biscuits in the finals. Each team had won two games early in the day and appeared battle tested and road weary. In the final game, the Biscuits were seen covering their bodies with some sort of dark colored hair covered material. When the Umpire approached the captain, he stated it was purely medicinal, so the ump allowed it. For three innings the game was back and forth, then in the fourth, the Biscuits broke it open scoring 9 runs and keeping the lead for the rest of the game. Great job Whisker Biscuits, we no long have to worry about the dangerous fighting penguin spirit.
