Late Fall Softcore Volleyball at First Baptist Thursdays

This week's Player of the Week goes to Matt Throckmorton from Aces Around! This guy was on fire tonight! Killin' balls left and right, Matt definitely contributed to his team's double victory this week. Sir Throckmorton was on top of his game, with apparently the "best hits of his life," crushing it up at the net and providing awesome serves and defense in the back row. Sweet job Matt! Keep up the good work!!

Watch out ladies and gents we got a professional on our hands. This week Toby Jones, from Shoenanigans, had the "Midas Touch"...Every ball Toby touched was golden. Every pass, serve, dig and spike was flawless. Nothing could get past Toby! One of these days you'll be seeing Toby on the Olympic team digging volleyball for a living. Although his team suffered a tough loss, Toby's spirit never faded. Keep up the good work Toby!

This week wrapped up the First Baptist late fall volleyball league. Now I know most have already shed a few tears over the season ending. However the season didn't end without an entertaining battle. Someone get out the measuring tape and check this guys vertical, because Matt Throckmorton was like Lebron James soaring above his competition. Crushing balls inside the ten foot line and roofing his opponents, Matt lead his team to a league championship. Not only was Matt a force in the front row he also served rockets and made some huge defensive plays for his team when the pressure was on. Overall his performance was spectacular enough to take home the weekly honors during playoffs week. Great job. Keep up the good work.
