Fall Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

Wyatt Feaster is our Player of the Week. Wyatt is a new player and came up with a big boot in both of Bad News Beers games. He kicks the ball so hard that his shoe even came off after one swing. He blasted a two RBI single against the Washington Ball Stars for his first two runs driven in with Underdog. Wyatt had to have a good game to impress his girlfriend who was also included on the Beer's roster. I think he did it. Congratulations Wyatt on being the Player of the Week.

The Player of the Week is Maura Konopinski. Maura had a big day in The Son of Pitches win this week over Legends of the Ball. Coming in with her usual great attitude, ready for a good time, I'm sure she had no idea that she would start one of the rarest plays in all of kickball/baseball. Maura was out at second base when a fly ball came her way. Making the catch, she quickly realized that the runners at second and first had left the bases before she caught the ball. After tagging second to get the out there and pegging the player running back to first to get the unassisted triple play. Very few people can say they have completed a triple play and now Maura can say she was one of the lucky few. Congratulations Maura on being the Player of the Week!

Kellie Eilersten is the Player of the Week! In Legends of the Ball's close 8-7 win over Scut Farkus, Kellie was able to raise her game to a higher level and squeak out the win. She recorded a 2 RBI double which would keep the game close for a while until the bottom of the 7th when she played a nice trick out on the bases to get the winning run across. In close games you can point to certain plays that were the turning point of the game and Kellie's plays out there certainly turned the tide in favor of LOTB. Congratulations Kellie on being the Player of the Week!
