Kaitlin had an amazing game, all around, but I think what was most notable was her unbelievable plays at second base. She made it all look too easy, gently scooping then effortlessly throwing runners out. During one play, she got up at least 4 feet off the ground to rob a line-drive basehit from an Empty Pitcher. Keep it up, Kaitlin!

Joe Madera should be the face of Underdog Softball. For one, he's a hell of a ball player, batting 4 for 4 and playing excellent D: He turned 2 to save the game in the 7th on Sunday. But more importantly, he's not playing for trophies or to go home to brag to his parents from the basement. He's playing to have a good time while showing that big heart of his. During the 90 degree Sunday, Joe was offering water to not only his own team but to everyone....literally: umps, fans, pedestrians, opponents, pets. Hell of a guy!

Hats off to CJ and the gang for insisting that Pitch Slap play without a catcher allowing them to fill all positions in the field. The great thing about this gesture was that, to Hashtag, it didn't matter about winning/losing, it was about both teams having a great time while playing a little softball. And that's what happened. Thanks Hashtag.....those kind of gestures go a long way!
