Gupta's Troopa's off to a hot start!
The night cap this past Monday was a great matchup between two first time Underdog softball participants. The matchup was between Gupta's Troopa's and Go Hard Go Yard, in which the Troopa's won 26-15. The Troopa's learning curve was apparently not steep at all as they jumped out to a large lead, then relied on some great defense to hold off several comeback attempts by Go Hard Go Yard. Both teams were in great spirit and several players made great improvements as the game went on. For taking home the victory on their inaugural game. Gupta's Troopa's are our team of the week, nice job Troopa's!

David Graham Has Monster Night
Monday nights game between Go Hard Go Yard and Beer Authorities was a nail biter all the way through. One player took it upon himself to take his team on his back to guarantee a victory. David batted 5 for 5 with 3 deep base clearing bombs driving in 8 runs and scoring 4 runs himself. His play in center field was completely off the charts. Without his production for the night his team probably wouldn't have been able to overcome the scrapiness of Beer Authority. Great game David and we always look forward to seeing you in action. Great game.

Tanya Huber Absolutely On Fire
Wednesday night's game between Pitch Slap and We Got The Runs was an epic battle until the 5th inning when Tanya Huber took her team and put them on her shoulders. She batted 4 for 4 with a triple, 2 doubles and a single. She also batted in 5 runs. No matter where they tried to play her she hit shot after shot clearing the bases each time and paving the way for a 26 run game. Great game Tanya and it's always fun to see you get after it.

Hannah Owings Straight Up Gettn' After It
If there is ever a USL player that you love to see play the game of softball it's got to be Hannah Owings. At the plate she is an absolute monster and equally impressive on the defensive side. She leads by example, always encouraging and just loves the game of softball, It's a pleasure to watch you play week in and week out. She also hit for the cycle this past Monday.

Ryan Fahey's Walk Off 2 Run Jack Seals The Deal
Needing runs to tie and 5 runs to win, Pitch Slap got the bats working early in the bottom of the last inning. They managed to get within 2 runs with a series of shots deep to put runners in scoring position. With 1 out in the inning and a runner on, Ryan steps into the box and delivers an absolute bomb deep the left field scoring the tying and himself the winning run. What a great game to be apart of. Awesome game Pitch Slap!

Zach Tracy Pitches Gem In Rout
Two words.......lights out. Zach pitched a gem of a game on Monday night limiting Gupta's Troopas to 7 runs in 7 innings. Mixing up his pitches, inside, outside, down low up high. Gupta's Troopas could not get anything significant going the entire game. His pitching strategy was like anything I have seen as an umpire and his ability to make hitters hit where he wanted them to is uncanny. He helped himself out by batting 4 for 4 with a bases clearing bomb, a couple of doubles and a single. He also scored 3 runs. Great game Zach!!
