Coming in as a high seed isn't easy when attempting to make a run at the championships and that's the task that was at hand for Smoldering Remains on Sunday. Playing their first game at noon, Smoldering Remains would have to win three on the day to take home the title; and that's exactly what they did. Winning by scores of 10-6, 12-8 and finally 13-10 the Remains used some great defense with only nine players to give them the edge. This combined with some excellent left handed pitching and clutch two out hitting equaled success in the softcore division this past Sunday! Nice job Smoldering Remains!

Hit it and Forget About It had been a force to reckon with all season long. Every Sunday it seemed they were putting up 20+ runs while holding their opponent to much less. The same held true this past Sunday as Hit It and Forget About It found themselves in the midcore championship. Up against Jay and Rich's Love Children, Hit it exploded for a 25-7 win. Geneva took home player of the game honors in both the semi-finals and finals as she was a superstar for her team all day as well as all season long. Certainly Hit It and Forget About It will be a major force in future leagues to come!
