Shawn Kemp's run to the championship was their hardest playoff run to date. All the teams in Everett seem to be getting better with each year. There was no bigger evidence than Peanut Butter Jelly Time who went winless last season to go undefeated this season. While PB&J did not take home the championship, they were proud of the turnaround season. PB&J gave their best effort against Shawn Kemp, but Shawn Kemp used a team effort to bring home the championship. This was something they had been doing all season from Bobby's speedy catcher play to Emily's powerful pitching to Jeanie's gold glove first base to Boone's powerful kicking. Their team effort allowed them to claim another championship for their mantle.

Washingthem Ball Stars showed up early and ready to play in their championship game. The Ball Stars brought with them a raucous crowd to help cheer them on to the championship. With the fans and the championship on the line might be too much pressure for most teams, but it did not seem to bother any of the players. The Ball Stars were able to get on the board in the top of the first inning giving them a lead they would never relenquish due to the great defensive effort. The defense was lead by Jordan Brooks who made mutiple outs at first base including two crucial catches that ended possible rallies by Harvey Ball Bangers. The defense was able to rise to the occasion again when in the bottom of the seventh Harvey Ball Bangers made a rally. Washingthem Ball Stars were able to shut down the rally to take home their first championship. Congrats Washingthem Ball Stars.
