Eleanor Kirtley
Bilge Rats
Eleanor brought a great sense of humor and unique style of play to the opening night of kickball.
She danced and grooved at home plate while awaiting pitches, much to the delight of others.
All that fancy footwear turned into a couple hits.
With two games in the night, she racked up time on the base paths and her high-energy spirit never wavered.

Christine Price
Where My Pitches At
Christine put together an excellent day at the park. After not reaching base her first trip up, she wasn't deterred and found a way to get on base at the most crucial time. With the score tied in the last inning, Christine lead off with a solid single to third. With 1 out and standing on third base, Christine was in prime position to give her team the victory. The kicker hit a soft roller to third and Christine flew down the line to beat the throw at home by less than a step for the game winning run! Great game Christine!

Talia Reynolds
Purple
Talia brought intensity to the field all while having fun. Her defensive prowess and clutch kicks propelled purple to a walk off win. Talia also tore it up on the base path stepping in as a pinch runner for an injured teammate multiple times. Her blazing speed brought in a run helping purple get the victory. great game Talia.

Seth Stell
The Smashers
Seth S. showed extrodinary skills in the field while demonstrating some ballerina moves while makinng plays. Seth caught everything kicked in the same zip code he was in. Seth lead the team in racking up outs and the team as a whole looked like a well oiled machine, and played with text book execution. Seth also knocked plenty of runs in with big kicks, and is this weeks Player of the Week! Great game Seth!

Geoff Eseltine/Will Bull
Ball Don't Lie
We have co players of the week this week. In one of the greatest comebacks in Underdog Kickball history, Ball don't lie rallied in the top of the 7th down by 7 runs to tie the game behind Geoff's clutch two out two run rbi to know the game at 13. In the bottom of the 7th, Will made two great put outs at 3rd base with runners on, to keep the game knotted forcing an extra frame where he showed up again looking like Brooks Robinson at 3rd base keeping the team tied prior to the game being called due to time and darkness. What a hard fought game!

Seth Stell
The Smashers
Even in a loss, Seth looked like superman as he made play after play ranging from his short stop position to left field to left center. His play was so stellar there was even a time that I yelled for him to stop showing off. Of the two runs the smashers scored, Seth was responsible for the RBI.

vince Fosness
Kick in a Box- Indy #K6
Vince dominated the game of kickball in all aspects of the game from his fielding/catching prowess to his big foot at the plate. We witnessed a performance for the ages as Vince turned three double plays in the field killing rally after rally while also producing at the plate with a 3 for 3, 2 home run performance. Fans in Seattle haven't witnessed anything like this sinice the days of Mike Cameron going 4 for 4 with 4 home runs against the Chicago White Sox. If I can get my score sheet autographed, it may be the most prized kickball collector's item out there...

Justin L.
Bilge Rats
On Monday night, Justin's defense showed up in a big way. With two runners on and Soccer Baseball threatening, the ball was kicked hard to the shortstop. The ball was kicked a little too high for the SS to handle it though. He was able to get a couple of fingers on it, causing it to change direction. With the ball inevitably falling to the ground, Justin had the play backed up perfectly and dove for the catch. He was able to get both arms under the ball and cradle it for the out! Great job Justin!
This weeks player of the game award goes to Sean Troyan for having a stellar game at the plate and on the field. He lead his team to a close 5 to 3 victory by getting every out all game as well having a 1.000 on base percent and scoring 2 runs. Great job kicking your way to victory.
Catch of the century! A bomb kicked to the outfield, thoughts from fans and players alike were that it was GONE, but not in Kevin's world. At the warning track, Kevin made a leap w/arms extened and grabbed an amazing catch, tearing at the hopes and dreams of the kicker. Excellent D, Kevin!
Play: To engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. The urge to play spans across the animal kingdom, from humans, to elephants, to squirrels. We are built for play and its good for us...Mind, Body, and Soul. For kids it comes naturally, but for adults who feel the responsibilities and pressures of modern life, not so much. In steps our Team of the Week--Ball Don't Lie, a team of grown-ups who still know how to Play. Despite it being playoffs, they were still out there just trying to have fun which they were very successful at. Their 20-10 upset of Bilge Rats was just the gravy on top. If you have lost the art of play come watch Ball Don't Lie, they will show you how its done!
This weeks player of the week is Randi M. from Ball Don't Lie. Randi helped her team in a great first game in which they won 11 to 6, and she did it on defense. Randi played 2nd base and caught every ball kicked in her direction. Randi and her squad fell a little short in the chipper, but Randi in her 2 games caught every ball kicked to her. Randi racked up the bulk of her team's outs on defense, and she made tough catches look easy as she had her section of the field on lock-down. With these great catches and the huge improvement over the season her team had, Randi is this weeks player of the week!
