Where the Redballs Grow

At the Sunday Gentlemen's Summer League at Seattle Center, the quick paced action of the men's league lived up to expectation in the final two games of the season. Top seated Redballs, led by Captain Josh Herrig, Scot Geiger and upstart Chris Bendix, rallied the team to victory all while playing with only six people. In their first game against the run and gun Thunderbolts, Chris led the way with three sacks and some solid receptions on offensive. Strangely resembling our own John Panzar, Chris sealed the case on the Thunderbolts by sacking the quick footed quarterback of the Thunderbolts while they were threatening to score on fourth down to tie the game with a mere thirty seconds left to play. This gargantuan play ensured Redballs a spot in the finals against the Lincoln Titans. A quick look at this match up and one could say that the Titans, with more than 12 players would have a distinct advantage over the exhausted and six man Redballs, but this would prove to be an incorrect assessment, as Scott Geiger led the way with three scores and three huge reception on the sidelines. Fatigue did not seem to be a factor for team Redballs, as their defense held the Titans to only two scores, while making it to the house five times. Truly inspiring work team Redballs, we all could learn a thing or two about conditioning from you.
