This was Reid's first time playing indoor volleyball for Underdog because he preferred playing outdoors in the sand. After getting some kinks out in the first set, the hardwood proved to have no effects on his game. With a great aerial arsenal, Reid dominated the net offensively and defensively, making key plays to beat the Heavy Setters. We Dig 4 Play has great players throughout their roster but Reid proved to be the gem of the night. Great work Reid!

Squatches
Team of the week goes to Squatches this week! They had one of the most exciting game of the night Thursday against We Dig 4 Play. Even though they didn't come out with the win, their spirits were high and their attitudes were so great that it seemed like they were winning the entire time. Squatches are a very skilled and scrappy team and had one of the best attitudes and energy levels of the night. Everyone was super upbeat and very supportive of each other. They all seemed to be having a really great time and were very fun to watch. Great job Squatches!!

Laura was a true ace today! She was flawless when it came to serving the ball. Laura completed serve after serve, setting up some of the longest streaks of the day. Laura really gave Indy 26 trouble with her pin point accuracy and great spin on the ball. She had an arsenal of serves, whether they came fast or high over the players head hitting the back line. Great job Ace!!

Patrick played really great tonight with amazing jump serves and super powerful kills. He was everywhere when it came to defense and brought back tons of balls. Patrick really went all out tonight, diving and passing up serves and hits like it was nobody’s business. He definitely helped the Squatches to yet another victory. Great job Patrick!

You would never know that Teresa from Squatches was fresh off a plane suffering from jet-lag just by looking at her. Teresa was all business tonight against Optify, showing complete focus and determination to win. Her passing ability was perfect, creating countless opportunities for the offense to capitalize. After sneaking away with the first set, Teresa completely deflated Optify in the last two sets by making sure no ball hit the ground. Great job Teresa! Now you can finally rest up for the next round.

First of all, congratulations to We Dig 4 Play for winning the champtionship!! With two great teams, the match against Squatches had lots of long rallies and tons of great volleyball. Amanda definitely helped her team accomplish this victory. Although We Dig 4 Play has amazing hitters, a win would've been much harder without Amanda's superb defense to set up the offense. She always has a good time and a great attitude but she also plays to win! Great job Amanda! And Great job We Dig 4 Play!!
