Not Your Face -Indy #31
It was the first week of a new season and some people had taken quite a break from volleyball but were back to try it out again. Rebekah from Not My Face! was one of those players and was determined volleyball was just like riding a bike! You never forget how to play! With nervous jitters to start the first game it took Rebekah and Not My Face a few rotations to get the hang of the game once again! Rebekah's communication and encouragement helped her team to a W over Shoenanigans in their opening night! Congrats and good luck the rest of the season!

Scott Walker
Shoenanigans
After getting their first week kinks out Shoenanigans transition from softball to volleyball seemed flawless! Energy was high and it was time to win! Scott was a mean force from the back line with wicked serves and plenty of them! While Scott was a a strong team member in the back row he was even better in the front with many spikes and great defense! Keep it up Scott and the Shoenanigans!
Flo's Heroes, Indy #32, Infectious Agents, Legion of BOOM
Greg Hogan
1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4!
This week Greg was a real trooper! He did something that not many Underdog players can say they have done! Greg started off the night with a double header where him and his team were neck and neck with their opponents. If that wasn't enough Greg stuck around to watch the action and got recruited to play for a third match for the night for a team that would of had to play with 4! With Greg's help the games were again neck and neck and came down to the wire! Greg was a true team player last night regardless of the team! Great work Greg, rest up because you never know how many games will come your way!
Air Bud, Air High Fives, Bump, Set, Yikes!, Pterodactyls

Sets in the City
While Sets in the City may have been outmatched they were not going to show it! They were diving and jumping and doing anything that needed to be done to keep the ball alive. Every time I looked over at court 2 there were at least 2 players on the ground diving after a ball! While the competition was tough Sets in the City stuck it out and held their heads high after a tough loss. I'm sure they will be back next week just as aggressive and ready to take on their next opponent!
Greg was an absolute monster today at the net devastating his opponents with his killer spikes. With the ball was in the air, Greg was sure to smack it with all of his might. Spiking wasn't Greg's only ability... he could dish it out just as well. Greg was able to return the favor to his teammates by making beautiful bump sets for his team to send over. His overwhelming offensive abilities helped Air Bud finish off I'd Hit That in commanding fashion.
Consensual Sets are true Underdogs! They took on a new sport with determination and enthusiasm! While their record may not be stellar their journey through the world of Underdog Volleyball will never be forgotten! While everybody's rookie season is tough Consensual Sets continued to show up with subs and ready to play for their full hour never giving up a minute too soon! Here's to many more seasons to come! Practice practice practice and who knows we may have a ferocious team on our hands next season!
This week was all about team unity for Flo's Heroes and Matthew "Flo" Flores brought the team and their fans together to help push through and win their double header to take the Midcore 2 Championships title! Flo was also a champ on the court being aggressive and going after the ball and sometimes running into his own teammate! Even with a long 20 minute break in between their games Flo kept his team warmed up and high spirits. Great job Flo, keep up the good work!
