Last Wednesday Joey Scott was on the receiving end of what may have been the most unfathomable play in Underdog Sports Leagues History. On a Hail Mary pass on the final play of the game the ball went sailing through the air, was deflected about 15 feet away from the group of players trying to make a play on the ball and caught out of nowhere by Joey. Those who saw what was simply known as "The Play" will never forget it.

This week the Statdog wanted to give out the player of the week award to someone who wasnt scoring all the touchdowns, but was making alot of intangible plays and playing outstanding defense. That is why Billy Stover was chosen as player of the week. Yes, Billy did his damage on the offensive side of the ball, but it was his two key interceptions that led the Pounders to victory.

This past Wednesday Juliet Sims was all over the field and made a huge contribution to the victory by the Trunk Monkeys. Juliet stood out on offense and defense making a few spectacular plays which made the difference for the Trunk Monkeys.

Emily lead her team to their first victory of the year. After being tested by the IOC for illegal substances last week, Emily decided to take out her anger on the USL flag football league. With photographers taking pictures of her performance, she played the game of her life. She played so well, there are rukmors of the Statdog starting random drug testing.

After a position change, Jamie Campbell proved that he is one of the most dynamic players in Underdog Sports Leagues, not only at quarterback, but also at reciever and defensive back. There were two particular touchdowns in which Jamie made the game of football look effortless as he juked every defender in his path on the way to the endzone.

When the lights come on and the pressure of the playoffs sets in, some players step up and really show what they are made of. This past Wednesday, Danny Warren stepped up his game, throwing three touchdown passes and returning 3 interceptions for touchdowns as the Trojans advanced to the second round with a resounding 46-6 victory in the opening round of the playoffs.

At the start of the first game, Mark's teammates were calling him Koren Robinson, as the night went on he was upgraded to Darrell Jackson status, and by the end they were calling him Steve Largent. Mark made enough spectacular catches to keep the momemtum on the side of Flanker Fly in route to their first Underdog Sports Leagues Championship.
