This weeks honors go to the team of Karate Explosion for their performance in the nights closest game. With the game on the line in the 7th inning against a tough opponent, the explosion came up with a big homer to put the game to rest with a 20 to 18 finish. Karate played great on both sides of the ball, and were able to sneak out a win to start the season. Great game!

Shawn had a great all around game in what was a close game all night. Defensively he was all over the place making great plays. He was very clutch at the plate picking up a lot of big 2 out hits to drive in runs. He had two triples and two doubles on the night driving in four. Great game Shawn!

Aaron Smith really gave the all around performance as he went 5-5 with a grand slam in the first inning added a 2B later on to go with 6 RBI's. He also took the mound and tossed a great game as Hit it and Forget About it rolled to a convincing victory.

Deeper Than Balls Deep
Deeper Than Balls Deep have an all star cast but it was definitely Donnelle who singled herself out by playing an absolutely phenomenal game on Monday. During Donnelle's squad's meeting against the powerhouse, So What We Hit Bunts, her play in Left field kept a lot of those "would be" hits into fly outs. She zeroed in on at least 8 fly balls that were practically being written up as singles or doubles and snagged em' out of the air. To go along w/her mutliple clutch outs, she hit 2 triples and scored multiple runs to help her team pull off the victory. Great Job, Donnelle!!

Fly Ballerz, Justin Bain, knew that playoffs were his time to shine the brightest. Justin sent multiple monster drives into the skate park including one clutch grand slam that helped keep the lead strong during a tight race against Bottom of the Fifth. He also had the sweetest most delicate hit up the middle b/c of the cap on homeruns. Awesome display of controlled POWER, Justin!!!
