On a perfect night for softball, the championship game lived up to the hype.The game was filled with great pitching and solid defense, which made runs hard to come by, but, lead by James' three homers, Big in Japan to an 11-5 lead into the bottom of the 7th. base hit here, base hit there, Andy's Kid's eventually loaded the bases with 2 outs and down by one and Ryan Barber at the plate. He had struggled a little at the plate for most of the night, but in crunch time, he roped a single up the third base line scoring the tying and winning runs.
Congrats to both teams for their quality of play and wonderful sportsmanship. Both teams played well enough to win, but congrats to Andy's Kids for pulling off an amazing comeback win.
And a shout out to Andy and his wife, who is due at any moment! Good luck with the new baby! Always happy to have new Underdogs fans!
