Ryan Dorsey must have had his PF Flyers on when he showed up to the field as he was covering lots of ground in the outfield making plays. Ryan's superb defense helped keep Fresh Kicks of Bal Air in the game as they trailed early. Ryan not only led with his defense, but his offense also helped rally his team to a win over their rivals.

Ashley and Team Short Shorts put up a big number on Sunday with their great offense. Ashley had a three run homerun along with her other singles. Her kicking was so impressive that the opposing team called her "Sammy Sosa" as they backed up the defense. Great work, Ashley!

Walker's all around solid play led the Fresh Kicks of Bal Air to two big wins on Sunday. In both games, Walker use his quickness and strong throw to cover any bunts that were laid down. At one point he also got a hand on a hard line drive, just enough to pop it up and catch it. He also made a great contribution on offense. Great work, Walker!

Jammed Up
Adam Serna showed he was truly ready to play from the first innning when he made a spectacular catch on the pitcher's mound. Adam's slider and fastball kept the usually high powered Fresh Kicks of Bal Air at bay. While his pitching kept his team, Jammed Up, in the game, he was able to provide some much needed offense in a defensive game. Adam drove in a couple runs to help ignite the offense and his spectacular defensive plays assisted in keeping Jammed Up in the game. Adam keep up the good work as it seems you are peaking at the right time for the playoffs.

Nicole brought her 'A' game to the playoffs, solidfying the middle of the infield and handing all the hot shots that came her way.
On offense, she continued to impress by dropping a variety of kicks with good placement.
But her most impressive talent was her approach to having fun with the game.

Jammed Up Takes the Title
Short Shorts Come Up Short
After Team Short Shorts took an early lead and played stingy defense it looked as though an upset was in the making. TSS had played a lot of kickball though, the Championship being their third of the day.
Jammed Up to their credit, never gave up, and never considered themselves out of it. With steady offense that pecked away at the Shorts lead, and never letting the Shorts get that "big" inning.
Jammed Up made their run late, with timely kicking, battling back to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh to send it to Extra Innings.
In the top of the 8th, the Shorts fell victim to a slight baserunning mistake, and couldn't follow with a clutch kick. In the bottom half Jammed Up took advantage of a veteran runner on base and turned it into their first Underdog League Title!
